Week 14 of 14
The letters and Revelation
Days 92 to 100: 2 Corinthians 4 to Revelation 22, 108 chapters.
The last stretch is nine days long and moves through twenty books. Most are letters to churches and to friends, short enough to read whole in one sitting: Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians, then Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus. Hebrews shows Jesus as the better priest and the better sacrifice, which sends you back to Leviticus with new eyes. James, Peter, John and Jude follow. Revelation closes the Bible with a new heaven and a new earth, and God living with his people, the way the story began in the garden.
Watch for how Revelation echoes the garden of Genesis.
I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”Revelation 21:3-4
